The Mathematics Genealogy Project is a web-based database for the academic genealogy of mathematicians (see also the Wikipedia article). I recently found the awesome Python tool Mathematics Genealogy Grapher by David Alber which spiders through the database and creates a tree of all your “ancestors” in the DOT language. Using the Graphviz tool you can transform this into different formats like PDF. Here’s my tree:
